What's up Dummies, today we are on part 2 of a 3 part series, all dealing with GPX and KML files. How to convert them using Google Earth. In part one we looked at adding the files to Avenza Maps on the cell phone.
Today we are on the computer and taking a large GPX file and converting it to a smaller KML file so we can load it into the map systems. Them loading them onto OnX and Gaia Maps. Unfortunately, OnX only allows files that are 4MB and under. If you end up with a file over 4MB this video will give you a way to ditch some of the GPS points in a GPX file that are not useful, and clutter up your map.
