Ch. 13. Filling regenerating salt
The MELAtherm 10 Evolution washer-disinfector is fitted with an integrated water softening unit. This tutorial shows you how to re-fill the regenerating salt correctly.
If the salt in the integrated water softening unit has been exhausted, the display notification W428 or F505 will be issued.
These notifications can be cleared with the Smart-Touch Display. Open the salt container in the washing chamber and fill the salt using the filling funnel. Please only use coarse-grain regeneration salt (additive-free NaCI).
We recommend starting the rinse program with an empty basis basket to protect the instruments from contact with salt. The washer disinfector MELAtherm 10 Evolution is then ready for cleaning and disinfection.
