Do You HATE The Sound Of Your Own Voice? Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy

In my younger years, I absolutely HATED the sound of my voice.

Guys, really. I am not kidding.

This is not a sensational statement, it is the honest truth.

I felt like when I heard it back from lame recordings I did or whatever, it sounded like someone had stuck cotton in my throat or or was "gagging" or worse, singing / choking through a straw.

And I tried so hard to sound like my favorite singers at that time.

Lou Gramm (Foreigner)

David Coverdale (Deep Purple / Whitesnake)

Micky Thomas (Starship)

My cousin Sammy Hagar

I could list many more.

But how these singers were able to get to those "open" places in the throat and sound like they were roaring lions, singing effortlessly, eluded me.

It wasn't until I started learning, searching, and understanding how all this worked. It was inch by inch, foot by foot, yard by yard, mile by mile, on what it takes to be a great singer.

Now we can all sit around and whine about why we don't sound great. Or we can do something about it.

I share my testimony on my journey in this video.

I hope it is something you can relate to.

But I will tell you this and HEAR ME LOUD AND CLEAR!

There is a LOT of noise out there.

People will claim to give you 3 easy tips to this or that.

They will claim to put an octave on your voice… Guaranteed.

Others will say scales are "counter productive."

Guys, please trust me on this.

This is Bullcrap.

Quality information about the voice is very hard to come by.

If you hate the sound of your voice, let's do something about it.

There is no pill, no quick fix, no 3 easy tips.

No tricks.
