Ukraine’s air force has acknowledged Russia’s use of guided aerial bombs as a “big threat”. On March 24, ten Russian S-35s dropped 11 guided aerial bombs over Sumy Oblast avoiding the range of air defense systems. The Russian pilots used the same tactic again when they attacked the region on March 28. Ukraine said it needs Western multirole jet fighters to counter the “500 kilogram bombs flying dozens of kilometers”.
