The iconic Kompleks PKNS Shah Alam is set to be demolished.
Business Times learnt that the complex and SACC Mall are two of a few buildings that will make way for the PKNS Square project.
The PKNS Square project is part of PKNS’ initiative to transform Shah Alam into a net-zero carbon city through transit-oriented development and a Smart City concept.
Kompleks PKNS Shah Alam was built in 1977 to house Selangor State Development Corporation’s (PKNS) operations.
PKNS is the statutory body and development agency for the state of Selangor.
Talk of demolishing the complex has been around since 2001.
Business Times has reached out to PKNS for further clarification.
