The most recent purchase and acquisition to add to the collection of gear! This is a clone of an '80/'81 JMP 2204. 50w of Pure Screaming Rock tone all bundled up in a maroon snakeskin box. (For those unaware, this amp is also essentially the same design as the original JCM 800s).
This particular demonstration includes a treated version of the original track as the backing track (which is demonstrated when the videos cut to black and white) to cut out as much of the original guitars as I could. Absolutely zero tone matching or even Amp Sims on this one. Just pure tube amp glory! Cranked up (safely) to the point where you can smell the tubes cookin' and there's really nothing else like it.
Running through the SoloDallas G12-65 dynamic impulse response pack with 2 SM57s in the fredman technique and an additional room mic to round out the sound and add a little bit of midrange surprisingly.
