UK newspaper obituary into the life of longest serving actor in the USA until his death.
Veteran Hollywood star Norman Lloyd dies aged 106. Tributes have been paid to the veteran Hollywood actor and producer Norman Lloyd following his death, not only in directing but as producer and actor, you may has seen him in in numerous films and television shows (I have). He died three days ago and his birthday was last November. His last TV/film work was around 2015 when he was around 100 years of old.
With an ageing population around the world, I have been following several (mainly actors) who were over 100, about five (one I can't remember) and four others who have died in the last year or two. In case you were wondering they were:
Kirk Douglas (USA) (1916 - 2020) actor and producer of many films (died aged 103).
Dame Vera Lynn (UK) (1917 - 2020) Forces Sweetheart in WWII, a singer, actress and campaigner (died aged 103).
Norman Lloyd (USA) (1914 - 2021) I have seen him in many films, and TV shows like St Elsewhere and Seven Days, (he died aged 106).
Mary Ward (Australia) still alive I believe (at this time) at age 106, born 1915 (notably (for me) played 'mum' in Prisoner: Cell Block H and a recurring role in Blue Heelers).
Another whom I have forgotten at present.
Notable others who have recently passed away or still alive aged around 100 are:
Katherine Johnson (USA) 1918 - 2020 died aged 101 (helped to change the world, watch the film 'Hidden Figures').
Leslie Phillips (UK) (currently 97) if you watch many British films and TV shows, he is always popping up. Catchphrase: "I say, Ding Dong".
And there are many, many more.
