In this video, we talk about Class 2 Malocclusion.
Class 2 malocclusion is a type of malocclusion with underlying skeletal and/or dental anomalies that places maxilla ahead of mandible, beyond its normal limits that is, maxilla is prognathic and mandible is either normal or retrognathic.
Patients with class 2 malocclusion have best possible results when they are treated in the growing phase where the growth of the maxilla and mandible can be altered to achieve optimal results for the patient.
Orthodontists may appreciate many clinical features that are associated with class 2 malocclusion and decide the best treatment plan for the patient accordingly.
