A Palestinian man has stabbed and wounded two Israeli soldiers outside a settlement in the West Bank, before being shot dead, according to the Israeli military.

One of the soldiers was stabbed in the neck and taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The other was slightly hurt before he reportedly opened fire and killed the attacker.

It happened on a main road near the Jewish settlement of Maale Levona.
