These are all the countries in the world than California. In all of America, the US itself is the only country richer than California. Which makes sense, however, there is no such country in all of Africa. Moving to Europe, Germany is the only country doing better than this one state in the US. Lastly, in Asia and Oceania, there are only 2 such countries, China and Japan. So if California was an independent country, it would be the fifth richest country in the world.
