Visit my website at [ Ссылка ] - The abiu, Pouteria caimito, is native to the headwaters of the Amazon, growing eastward of the Andes - from Venezuela to Peru.
The trees typically grow from 10 to 35 meters in height, and prefer hot, humid, and moist weather. The shape of the fruit varies from round to oval with a point, and will have bright yellow skin when ripe. The inside of the fruit is translucent and white, with one to four seeds. The creamy fruit tastes like caramel custard - similar to the sapodilla.
