Sharing is the key concept of Web 2.0. Whether it’s your status on Facebook, your holiday photo on Instagram or a tweet on Twitter, sharing is the basic activity of all users of social media. In this context, in recent years a new understanding of sharing has emerged. When, however, did “sharing” became a term dominating the social networks? How important is sharing in this context and what impact does the share button have on the way we communicate? John (Israel/UK), journalist Florian Rötzer (Germany) and activist Georg Staebner (Germany). Moderation: Klaus Krischok (Goethe-Institut).
