27th December 2019 Neil Davey & Jen Dyer performed for a Nos Lowen dance at the Compton Castle paddle steamer in Truro. This was the first Nos Lowen I've ever been to and I spent most of the evening fixated by the dance steps and trying to figure them out. Eventually I decided to video a few to learn from later, and then realised others might enjoy the results too, so I compiled them into this montage :).
Davey & Dyer are one of my favourite folk bands quite apart from any dancing. They have a CD out called 'Dynamite Quay' which I love and totally recommend. They also lead a pub folk music session every week on Tuesday evenings 8pm at the Seiner's Arms in Perranporth (not New Year's Eve sadly) where I like to join in with my whistle...
