In today’s clip we go over the benefits of Calcium and how to extract this important nutrient out off a common household food. Eggshells are made of 95% Calcium Carbonate and .3 percent phosphorus and provide many great benefits to the garden. We are focusing just on the calcium content for this tech and using a weak acid to make the calcium carbonate available for plants to uptake. Calcium Carbonate is non soluble for plants and needs to be broken down with a weak acid such a living vinegar or a homemade banana vinegar to be able to access its high levels of calcium. Once broken down, the liquid is referred to as WCA or Water Soluble Calcium and can be used during the plants transition phase to produce better crops and flowers. Adding this into your organic feeding schedule is a very easy and cheap method and using at only 3/4 - 2 teaspoon per gallon is a very long lasting solution to giving your plants and soil this important nutrient ‼️
