To mark Guinness World Records Day, we wanted to highlight the awesome achievement of our ambassador, Ash Dykes, who recently became a Guinness World Record Holder after being the first person in recorded history to walk the length of the Yangtze River in China.

His epic 4000-mile trek took 352 days to complete and was Ash's third-world first after also conquering Mongolia and Madagascar. It saw him walking from the Yangtze's scientific source in the Tibetan Plateau all the way to where it meets the East China Sea near Shanghai. The expedition has not only been a huge personal achievement, but has also seen Ash get involved in several important conservation projects along the way.

One challenge that Ash would face throughout the entirety of his 4000 miles is how he would get access to clean safe drinking water.
