Chicago activist Jessica Disu is known for her hip-hop and her work with young adults in some of the city's most violent neighborhoods. On Dec. 3, Disu's 25-year-old cousin, Jasmine Johnson, was killed in a murder-suicide in the South Shore neighborhood. Disu sat down with columnist Heidi Stevens to remember her cousin, who she described as a lively go-getter, and talk about her continued work with anti-violence causes.
