Firefighters and forestry officials brought a huge fire in eastern South Korea under control. The fire burnt about 20 hectares of forest, forcing the evacuation of nearly 300 residents from the area. The fire department and forestry authorities have dispatched some 20 helicopters and 1,600 personnel in an effort to extinguish the fire. No casualties were reported till today.
