This is the 3rd vid in the Drift Ghost 4K Review series, and see's me out and about using the Drift 4K action camera in a motovlogging setup. As I can't ride at the moment, I thought this would be a good way to test the Drift 4K capabilities and give a guide to motovlogging capabilities of the Drift Ghost 4K.
First off I hit the road in a Porsche Boxster to test the Drift 4K in a Sportsbike setup. We had quite a few issues here as the Ghost 4K kept changing its mode from constant video recording, to interval video recording, proving very unreliable. I also had lots of issues connecting the remote to the Ghost 4K, with it even disconnecting mid use, meaning I couldn't turn the camera off once it had started recording. The sound quality was also very muffled when set at level 1, out of the available 5 mic level options.
Next up we hit the road in a 1943 Willis American WWII Jeep, with the screen down in an attempt to simulate the naked style of motorbike. I set the mic level of the Drift Ghost 4K to 3 here and there was definitely an improvement, but it still seems a bit muffled when compared to the crystal clear output of the Ghost S, set at level 1 of an available 3 mic options.
The 4K resolution of the Drift 4K really is noticeably better here I thought, and seems to benefit greatly from better light conditions. There was a firmware update inbetween the Porsche day and the Jeep outing, and it certainly seems to have improved the camera's reliability. The remote also appears to pair and function better, but I will save my final verdict until I test the camera's functions more thoroughly and over a longer period of use.
From the first time I tried the camera to this stage though, I am certainly impressed with some of it's capabilities, but there are reliability and practicality issues which I need to test further.
I hope you enjoy the vid folks, do let me know what you think in the comments below, and if you have any issues you'd like me to pass on to Drift then by all means leave them in the comments below too.
As always a massive thanks for your support, in particular those of you who have chosen to support the channel through the Patreon page, which is a HUGE help to me personally.
Thank you.
