This is part of a series where La Luna Priestess Jolly Bogwitch moved to and continues exploring the beautiful island of Sark and surrounding Channel Islands.
From 15th Aug until 6th Oct 2020 Jolly walked 500 miles over 7 weeks on pilgrimage. She was walking to heal. Jolly was in grief. She lost 4 loved ones during lockdown. She also lost her career in theatre and felt grief for all that was currently happening to this beautiful land and our sacred Mumma Earth. The walk did heal her heart, but also her husband brought their 10 year marriage to an end. It was sad, but he was right to. Now Jolly has found herself living in Sark and these are her adventures.
Highly recommended reading... 'The Wild Edge of Sorrow, Rituals of Renewal and the Sacred Work of Grief,' by Frances Weller.
She went on to then be inspired to lead 28 people on a 500 mile pilgrimage from London to Glasgow, up the Spine of Albion ley line to COP26, the UN Climate Conference, where they presented a performance to delegates at the Green Zone.
Then autumn 2022 she walked with 7 of these pilgrims from Dragon Hill in Oxfordshire to Caern Les Boel in Cornwall, performing an ancient mummers play called Saint George and his Many Enemies.
All of these adventures have changed her life.
This year she's walking back down the Spine of Albion performing a new mummers play they've created about King Arthur and with a team of friends they just put on their first La Beltane Festival on the beautiful island of Sark.
