On Easter Monday 18/04/2022 Steamrail operated a day trip to Bendigo and back. The tour utilised V/line locomotive N456 and Steamrail's S313. A2 986 and T356 were already in Bendigo after operating shuttle services across the Easter Weekend and upon arrival of the day train, a loco swap occurred with S313 and T356 running a set of empty carriages back to Melbourne and A2 986 and N456 hauling the day trip back to Melbourne.
I filmed all three trains at Sunbury however with wet weather all day I was restricted to the station area. First up we see N456 and S313 hurrying through Sunbury. Unfortunately my camera had some issues focusing for this shot.
In the middle of the afternoon S313 and T356 pass the station with a set of empty cars, these were some of the carriages used for shuttles at Echuca and Bendigo over the long weekend.
Finally in the evening A2 986 and N456, in push pull mode, pass through with the day tour returning to Melbourne.
N462 also makes an appearance shortly afterwards with the evening pass to Swan Hill.
