Problem: When replacing coil-packs on a 2008 Honda Fit with 278K miles.
The spark plug boot of the coil pack gets stuck on the plug.
To remove: Pull out the spring of the boot, then press in and turn an easy-out with a wrench and pull out the boot by pulling on the easy-out with a pliers.
Doing this took me about 20 seconds vs hours trying to pull on the rubber part of the boot and having it break off.
The diameter of the OEM boot core is about 4.5mm I used a size 4 easy-out. Non OEM boots might have wider boot cores.
Note: In the video I mistakenly say 2004 Honda Fit, this was a 2008 Honda Fit.
Also in the video I show how we used a stainless steel hose clamp to hold down the coils packs after the 10mm head, hold-down bolts broke. This has worked well for the past 4 years.
