🤍 How to DIY a wedding seating chart!
I was THRILLED with how ours turned out and wanted to share the process with you in case you’re wanting to create something similar for your own celebration!

- How to make your own seating chart display:
I used 3, 1” insulation boards. (I wanted mine to be a focal point. A work of Art. So she’s prettyyy big & detailed… You can use more or less boards, depending on how intricate you want your own design to be!)

Do NOT use spray paint the boards! This style paint will eat through the boards. (😅🥲 I found out the hard way when I made my bridal shower backdrop… 😌 which I have another tutorial on how to make, if you’re interested!!) — Use a roller/brush to apply. I recommend using home interior/exterior paint *rather than craft paint*, as it is more opaque.

You can use real flowers… but I suggest using faux! This allows you to work in advance and over time. You can glue the florals directly to the board itself, but I suggest making this removable like I did, for storage / transportation reasons.

After transferring your decals, You can use clear mod podge over top help keep them flat and in place. This can be either liquid or spray as the paint underneath, with protect the board from the spray. (if you experience any lifting or issues getting them to adhere to your boards due to the paint/texture/etc.) This will also help to seal and protect everything when you’re done.

The wooden bases are optional, but I liked how they looked. They are scrap wood cut down to size, and hollowed out end to end, so the foam boards slide right in (like a little base / frame) I felt it added weight to the over all structure. Mine was leaned up against a wall, but you can add your own stand on the back if you need it to be freestanding: using either pvc pipes, more foam boards, or some wood.
