How BIM for Landscape works: every step you need to reach the final result, optimizing resources and avoiding problems on site.
BIM digitalization of the design for the new park for the “Albertino Reggiani” ONLUS Foundation – Environment protection and Agricultural Traditions.
bimO open innovation applies for its first time BIM technologies to a Landscape project. The process of design and realization of the new park for the “Albertino Reggiani” ONLUS Foundation in Mirandola (Italy) has been digitalized to reach a clearer management of the whole process.
The aim is to manage mainly vegetational elements and earth movements in the site since first steps of design, checking carefully quantities and interferences.
The aggregated model, including a “Landscape Information Model” and the MEP Model, allows to avoid problems on site such as interferences through roots and excavations. The site survey technologies used help to reach a faithful model of the site.
BIM Model has been enhanced with specific informations about every green element, which has been classified with dimensional, aesthetic and typological parameters.
The final aim is to optimize resources during the Facility Management, avoiding water waste and giving the best care to each species.
Every plant species will be given its own light and irrigation parameter, simplifying the management for the client, tracking the growth and needs of the park during each season.
