What causes shortness of breath? When you breathe in, air goes through your nose, it goes through your throat, and into your windpipe. There's a couple places where you can have shortness of breath. If you have a blockage at your larynx or your voice box, this can actually cause shortness of breath because it can literally prevent the air from getting in there.
This is things like, you know, swelling your vocal cords. Tumors, masses, bad, scary things. Thankfully, these are pretty rare and most people don't have them. The more common thing that people are gonna have is once the air gets down the windpipe and into the lungs, you can have narrowing of your lungs.
That can be something like asthma. That can also happen from smoking or COPD or lung issues. Either way, if you're having shortness of breath and it's consistent, you really should go see a doctor. Sometimes it might be allergy related, meaning that your allergies are triggering asthma, and that's what's causing your shortness of breath.
Either way, the most important thing is to have somebody listen to your lungs and figure out what's going on. If you wanna learn more, please subscribe.
