The fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic on the labour market has been dramatic. As the European Union is moving forward to make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050, how can we ensure a transition that is inclusive and leaves no-one behind? How can we upskill and reskill employees for a new world of work? A key role in ensuring a smooth transition will be played by the European Commission, with its Just Transition Mechanism, Industrial Policy, European Pillar of Social Rights and New Skills Agenda for Europe.
