This is the first in the 'Social Analysis of Penality Across Boundaries – Workshop Series' which has been organised in partnership between the Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research and the Crime (SCCJR) and the Society Program of the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL) in Argentina.
This workshop series aims to bring together a wide range of current work from around the world on aspects of penal politics, policies, practices and institutions.
We hope to continue to expand the scope for comparative analysis of penal questions, and to stimulate cross-regional collaboration and exchange between scholars north and south.
This workshop series has been coordinated by by Prof. Richard Sparks (SCCJR), University of Edinburgh and Prof. Máximo Sozzo (UNL).
