Dr Tahna Pettman will deliver "Using Implementation Science and Knowledge Translation in policy and practice", exploring the use of IS methods in government decision making and policy development.
Dr Ecushla Linedale will then provide a health services translational research case study, reviewing the use of implementation science within the "Prehabiliation Project".
Assoc Prof Peter Hibbert will wrap up the session as we explore & respond to the question "How can implementation science and quality improvement be aligned to improve care to patients?"

Dr Tahna Pettman
Dr Tahna Pettman is passionate about Public Health, health promotion, primary prevention and equity, and has expertise in Knowledge translation, research impact, and evidence-informed decision-making.
Tahna currently works at UniSA and Flinders on a linkage partnership translation project and also works in consultancy providing research, evaluation and knowledge translation services.
Dr Ecushla Linedale
Ecushla works at Health Translation SA driving Learning Health System projects. Ecushla has a PhD in Medicine and experience in clinical research, research translation and strategic development.
Ecushla’s interest lies in engaging and connecting clinicians, researchers, consumers and industry to pragmatically use evidence in the real world.
Assoc Prof Peter Hibbert
Associate Professor Peter Hibbert has an 18-year history of research and policy implementation in patient safety and measurement of evidenced-based care. Previously, he worked in clinical practice as a physiotherapist. He is a Research Fellow at the IIMPACT in Health, University of South Australia and is a Research Stream Lead at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University.
