Propagating strawberry plants is a great way of growing extra plants and saving even more money on food. In this video, I seek out an expert crew who teach us how to root strawberry runners, save strawberry seeds and divide strawberry crowns / rhizomes. By the end of this video, you'll be able to use all of these methods to propagate strawberries at various times in the year.

However, it isn't all straightforward. There are rules governing which varieties you can propagate depend on what you plan on doing with the child plants. I explain what those rules are and the crew and I try and pull off the greatest garden heist to obtain a licence so we grow and sell some of our favourite varieties. This is aimed at a UK audience, although similar rules or concepts apply elsewhere. This is entertainment, not legal advice.
