The Zambezi River is 2,574 km, long, the fourth longest in Africa and the largest that flows into the Indian ocean.
After long stretches of tranquil water, the course of the river is interrupted by numerous rapids and waterfalls.
This is a good place to practice descending the river in a sport known internationally as rafting, consisting of travelling down river in the direction of the current.
The Zambezi River rapids are in the Class IV category, that is to say, difficult, as the waters are very rough but predictable.
Rafters must be accompanied by an expert whose technique and knowledge of the river are both excellent.
The Zambezi River is without doubt one of the most spectacular natural environments in which to practise this sport.
