DS7 Crossback is a luxury crossover, which is supposed to be the French showcase of savoir-faire from Paris. DS7 Crossback alludes to the 1950s revolutionary Citroen DS. Citroen assumed a separate line of vehicles rooted in the brand’s best traditions will help the bottom line. This is how Citroen DS3, DS4 and DS55 were conceived. Their styling was very much different from the rest of the models, but technologically they brought little new to the table. So Citroen decided DS should be a completely separate sub-brand, so that nobody except automotive aficionados would tie it to Citroen.
