25 January 2019. Booked tickets a month in advance to see the turtles and we ended up being in the last group (Group 5) already! Got bit disappointed as I've read from reviews that it's best to be in the first few groups see the turtles earlier in the night. I beg to differ! I had a wonderful time regardless. Being in the last group, we were not rushed and we got to spend time on the beach til very late.
We got to the car park at 18:30, took a free shuttle bus to the Turtle Centre and lined up to get in. We sat at the Ampitheatre until about 21:30 watching videos, eating and playing with another guest's kid lol it was all worth the wait! We got to see the red moon rising from the sea (it was magical!) as we were appoaching a loggerhead turtle digging a nest and laying her eggs. I found that everything was organised, the guides were accommodating and approachable, and we were lucky to see both laying eggs and hatchlings that night.
