If you're interested in a LOW startup cost for a business, look no further. The other day I got a quote to clean and stain my deck for $750. I thought instead of paying that crazy price, I would try to educate myself, go out and buy some supplies, and do it myself. I haven't finished the staining yet, but so far the cost is only around $100. Given that it will take probably less than 10 hours for everything to be completed, that is a GREAT profit margin.
