The video opens with the local Charlie (Decorah Charlie's cousin), a red winged blackbird, seriously harasses the eaglet. This went on for ages and I had to cut a lot of material! DN12 got so annoyed that it was forced to leave its perch, but the little pest followed the eaglet. DN12 will return to the nest, play with sticks then explores the immediate vicinity of its home - maybe it wants to understand how to build a nest? The video closes with cute close-ups and a little portrait gallery.


After the first four minutes, I got a little annoyed with the mechanical whooshing of the recorder (there was hardly any chirping) so I introduced instrumental music - turn the volume off if not appreciated.
