In Autumn the Landscape is dramatic, atmospheric, colourful and also subdued. But to get all these conditions in one day, that is something special. Join me on location photographing misty rivers and woodlands rich in colour.
It’s getting harder as winter approaches ever closer to get up early and shoot landscapes. But I also know that not getting up is worse than going out and getting nothing. The process of landscape photography is my therapy as the dark days of winter approach its even more important to get out in the daylight whenever possible.
At first, I struggled to find a composition I liked a customary stop for some hot coffee soon led to the landscape revealing a plethora of opportunities. I was able to shoot misty river scenes with subdued pastel autumn shades, simple square compositions with harmonious colours, and a riotous stampede of reds, oranges, greens, and gold.
