With support from the Resilience Fund and Global Initiative, CEJ empowered 110 community members in Mpelembe, Chalilo, and Kanona through a transformative three-day Village Banking Training. Focused on sustainable livelihoods, financial literacy, and small-business management, the training provided practical tools for savings group formation and investment loans. Women, who made up 65% of participants, emerged as key drivers of change, gaining confidence to lead economic growth and reduce reliance on illegal mining.
