This presentation contains information obtained throughout a seven-week course, with Colorado Mesa University, in which I interviewed a SANE nurse once per week. We discussed what the responsibilities of a SANE nurse are, what training is required to obtain certification, what makes this nursing role unique, what some of the difficulties are that SANE nurses face, and then what does this nursing role contribute to the health of the community.
