My Bonanza maiden flight ended with landing gear and cowl damage, but thankfully everything is fixable. The cause of the power loss is still under investigation. The ESC cutoff power to the motor shortly after takeoff , which happens when it loses its input signal. The internal BEC was still powering the receiver and servos when I recovered it, so the radio is not at fault. I suspect that a servo extension or the ESC itself is a fault. I plan to fix the issue and the plane and try the maiden again, hopefully in a few weeks.
