Following a recent burst of activity at the Wongawilli Coal Mine, here is some more footage of one of my favourite crossings. Shone Avenue at Wongawilli is located on a private branch line south of Wollongong NSW, and the equipment here remains unchanged since my previous visit around 18 months ago.
Both signals have McKenzie & Holland bases and Alstom LED lights mounted on GEC junction boxes. The southern signal has a Westinghouse teardrop bell and a red beacon, which is currently in need of a new light bulb. A more detailed look at the equipment can be seen here in the first video [ Ссылка ]
Train information:
1st train: WW03 empty coal hoppers from Inner Harbour (Port Kembla) to Wongawilli Mine, with locomotives 8256 and 8218. Filmed on March 9, 2018.
2nd train: WW08 coal from Wongawilli Mine to Inner Harbour, again with locomotives 8256 and 8218. Filmed on March 9, 2018.
3rd train: WW09 empty coal from Inner Harbour to Wongawilli Mine, with locomotives 8238 and 8242. This rare night movement was captured on March 12, 2018.
