The Austronesians are a large group of various people living in the Indopacific region which occupies Taiwan, Maritime South East Asia, a large portion of the Pacific Ocean, and Madagascar.
They share a lot of commonalities in terms of heritage and culture, but how they spread out throughout the Indo pacific is still being studied.
