In today’s tutorial, I’ll show you what to do if your cricut machine is cutting too deep through both layers of your vinyl all the way through to the mat! Typically, your cricut blade should only cut through the vinyl and leave the vinyl backing uncut. This way you can “weed” your design (remove all of the excess vinyl) and keep your design perfectly spaced so you can use transfer tape to pick up all of the pieces as a single unit. But sometimes, particularly when using a new blade or a third party product, your cricut will cut all the way through the backing layer as well. In this video, I’ll walk you through how to adjust the pressure or depth of the cut to stop this from happening!
If you have any questions, leave a comment and I’ll respond to you as quickly as possible. Thanks for watching & subscribing. Happy crafting!
