#FSSAI stands for Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. It is a statutory body under the administration of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It regulates the manufacturer, storage, sales, distribution, import of food, etc. This regulation is for establishing the safety of food and drink adulteration. So, the FSSAI Licence Act enables consumers to get standard products and the manufacturing company cannot sell substandard food by any means. The rule was enacted in 2006.
