These are a pair of army field telephones made by the Telephone Manufacturing Company in 1943. I got them cheaply as untested in an ebay sale and although I cant see any obvious faults, I cant get them to ring or to talk to each other. The magneto voltage on one gives around 50v while the other only gives around 1.5v . I've cleaned all the contacts with fine emery and wd40 and get continuity with a multimeter. Any advice would be most welcome.
