ITALY HAS DISCARDED EVEN THE RIGHT TO DEMOCRACY IN VIOLATION OF INTERNATIONAL TREATIES. IS IT BECOMING A ROGUE STATE?

On 12 June 2014, the Veneto Region legitimately passed a major law
(Law no. 16 of 2014), commissioned and signed by over a hundred thousand citizens brought about by the initiative of the Political Independence Movement Indipendenza Veneta.
On 8 August 2014, the Italian Government of Matteo Renzi challenged Law no. 16 of the Veneto before the Constitutional Court.
This government which now also chairs the EU semester, and is accountable to the states and citizens of Europe as to its non-liberal, authoritarian and undemocratic conduct in relation to the Venetian People.
What will it do, as EU Presidency, in respect to Catalonia which is claiming similar rights?
What will it say to the democratic Britain which has agreed to the vote in Scotland?
With Veneto does Italy want a fight or to mediate?
When it tells the world the truth about the disastrous accounts of the Italian State?
When it tells the world the truth about the colonial levies forced upon the Veneto People, (up to 68.7% in taxes) to help fund its corrupt bureaucracy, the privileges of Italian politicians and wastefulness of the state?
The appeal of Law n. 16, which relates to a referendum to exercise the right of self-determination of the Venetian People, contrasts with international law (UN Charter art. 1 and 55, the New York Pact of 1966 signed by Italy) in which Italy MUST comply, as the other laws impose (art. 10 of the Constitution and Art. 53 of the Vienna Convention of 1969).
Prohibiting the peaceful and democratic consultation of the Venetian People in Italy to an act of self-determination is the approach of a rogue state, authoritarian and policing which violates international law.
The civilized, free and democratic world should know that in Italy fundamental rights are being violated, and domestic and international laws are trampled on, preventing and prohibiting the millennial and sovereign People of Veneto to hold a referendum (as required by the law of 16 2014) which is an act of direct democracy, similar and contrary to what was held in Veneto October 22, 1866 to join - by vote - the territory and the Veneto People to Italy, Italy which had already been born in 1861.
We ask the whole world: "If Veneto was joined to Italy with the consultation held in 1866, why today, in 2014, may we not exercise the same right to the contrary?".
