Aprilia RS 660 Latest Updates
The production-spec Aprilia RS 660 has made its global debut, with bookings being opened for the European markets. The bike gets a 660cc parallel-twin motor with a 270-degree firing order, putting out 101PS and 67Nm. It is linked to a 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch and a bidirectional quickshifter as standard.
The RS 660 features a 6-axis IMU and it also gets a comprehensive APRC electronics package which includes traction control, 5 riding modes, wheelie control, engine brake control and cruise control. Braking hardware is provided by Italian specialist Brembo, in the form of M4.32 radially-mounted calipers biting on twin 320mm discs up front and a 220mm disc at the rear, with standard 3-level cornering ABS. The middleweight sportsbike is suspended on a 41mm Kayaba USD fork and rear monoshock, both adjustable for preload and rebound damping.
Expect the bike to be launched in India in 2021 via the CBU route with a price tag of around Rs 13 lakh (ex-showroom). Once here, it will compete against the Kawasaki Zx6r
