If you organize online events and need to split your audience into smaller, more interactive groups, breakout rooms are a way to go.
So, if you need to know:

It works like this:
Break down your online event into smaller, interactive groups, and let your attendees work on a given topic. How? With the help of breakout rooms, you can do it with just a few clicks!
Let’s begin with creating your main event. Once you are in the event room, click the Breakout rooms option.
First, decide how many groups you would like to create.
Next, set the time limit. Don’t worry. You can always add more minutes if your attendees are not finished with their tasks. When you’re ready, confirm your choice by clicking the button below.
You can see all your attendees listed on the left side of this window. On the right side, you will find the breakout rooms you have just created.
Now it’s time to assign your attendees to particular rooms. If you want to do it fast, just hit the Assign randomly button.
If you prefer to do it manually, click on selected attendees. Next, assign them to a chosen room with a simple drag and drop. You can select them faster by pressing Shift on your keyboard. Repeat this action for the rest of your attendees. If you change your mind, click the chosen name and drag it and drop it into another room.
Now, if there are more rooms than you need, you can always remove some. You can also personalize your breakout rooms by giving them meaningful names.
When everything is set, confirm by clicking the Open all rooms button.
Your attendees will see a pop up with a countdown. A moment later, they will be joining their breakout rooms.
Now, let’s look at the left menu again. You can find all the newly created rooms there. Click on one of these icons to go straight into this breakout room. To join the other group, choose another room from the left menu.
Here you can send a chat message that everyone will see if you want to communicate with the rest of your groups without jumping from one room to another.
What’s more, when someone from your groups needs help, it’s a matter of a single click and choosing the right status here. You will see a pop-up on the screen with the direct link to this attendee’s breakout room.
If you wish to reorganize your groups, just click the Breakout rooms icon in the left menu. It will allow you to move attendees between the selected rooms the same way as before.
This pop-up here will tell you that your time is almost up! You can confirm it or add more minutes if you want.
When the breakout room sessions end, you and your attendees will automatically go back to the main event room.
And that’s it! You are now officially ready to break your online events into smaller groups!
