The Citrus & Kiwi Peeler is a fully-automatic peeler, corer, and 'top and tailer'. The machine is suitable for processing oranges, kiwi fruit and grapefruit. The peeling thickness can be adjusted to obtain the maximum yield.
After setting the fruit type, the average dimensions of the fruit and the desired peeling thickness at the start and finish, each piece has its skin carefully removed. If required, the machine can also core the fruit and 'top and tail' it. This results in a visually-attractive end product, ready for further processing.
Altering the peeling thickness
The maximum yield can only be obtained if the changing thickness of the fruit skin is taken into account. The Citrus & Kiwi Peeler has a unique variable peeling thickness mechanism. The variable peeling thickness (thicker at the stem end than at the tip) can be pre-set. This prevents peeling too thick a layer, which might mean loss of fruit.
