Insulator and Surge Arrestors Electric Field Inspection for Online Fault Detection
As a part of our core activities we perform Live Line Insulator and surge arresters maintenance. We carry out live line insulator washing with demineralised water or dry cleaning using smash corn/wallnut shell in live line, either in order to perform scheduled insulator maintenance activities or as a preparation work to proceed with RTV HVIC applications.
Since long the weak point associated to Substations Live Line Insulator Washing was the impossibility to test surge arresters while are on service.
Herewith we are glad to provide an insight of our "Energized On Line" Surge arresters and insulator string testing procedure.
This is how our engineers inspect the e-field (electric field) and determine of is faulty or not in real time while inspection takes place.
