Your vehicle's soft top can be opened and closed by pushing the SOFT TOP OPERATING switch. To open or close the soft top, the vehicle must be stopped, with the engine ON, the trunk closed and the shift selector in any position other than REVERSE. Also, be sure the luggage cover is placed in the position that separates the roof storage area from the trunk storage. Make sure the area is clear of obstructions and that there is more than 10 feet of clearance from the ground and more than 4.9 feet of clearance from the rear of the vehicle before operating the soft top.
To open the soft top, push OPEN on the SOFT TOP OPERATING switch and hold until the top is fully opened. The soft top indicator light will illuminate while the top is in motion, but once the top is completely open, the light will turn OFF. To close the soft top, push CLOSE on the SOFT TOP OPERATING switch. Hold the switch until the top is fully closed. The soft top indicator light will illuminate while the top is in motion and turn off when it is closed.
When the SOFT TOP OPERATING switch is pushed, the power windows will automatically lower completely. Once the top operation is completed use the power window switches to close the windows. The soft top can also be opened using the Request Switch on the door.
Please note: The Voice Recognition System will not operate while the soft top is open. Refer to your Owners' Manual for more information on soft top operations.
