Ja Morant missed a game-winning layup and the Golden State Warriors edge the Memphis Grizzlies 117-116 on Sunday in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals.

"I missed the layup I normally make...all the time," Morant said. "On to the next (game)."

Instead it was Klay Thompson who hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 36 seconds left, and the Warriors overcame Draymond Green's first-half ejection to seize the first win.
