Yet again, we are out here testing the capability of another historic military surplus rifle and caliber, the 6.5x55mm Swede from a Swedish Mauser Carbine Model 1894. The M1894 is the perfect weight and size for short to medium distances when hunting deer. The 6.5x55mm SP should have the penetration power, expansion, and flat enough trajectory for North American Whitetail deer. The recoil felt shooting the 6.5 Swede is less than some other military calibers of that era for example say the .303 British. Our tests also measure some accuracy by hitting steel targets at various ranges, from 50 to 90 meters.
